Yaël Legris (b.1999) is a Tiothiá:ke/Montreal-based figurative painter working in oil and acrylic. Her work explores the emotional landscape of her relationships with others and with herself. She considers her paintings as a way to navigate her struggles—a practice of vulnerability that traces experiences of loss, time, and memory. Inspired by the Surrealists, her approach to creation is rooted in the subconscious. With a background in illustration and concept art, she bridges these influences, creating dream-like atmospheres that evoke the intangible and ephemeral. Currently, she is completing a BFA in Art History & Studio Arts at Concordia University.
